Sprachvariation in Norddeutschland ('Language Variation in Northern Germany',SiN)
a joint project by scholars from the universities of Hamburg, Münster, Frankfurt an der Oder, Potsdam, Kiel and Bielefeld investigating dialectal variation in Northern Germany. -
METU Spoken Turkish Corpus (ODT-STD)
a project at the Middle Eastern Technical University in Ankara constructing a large corpus of Turkish in natural interaction. -
Fehlerannotiertes Lernerkorpus ('error-annotated learner corpus', Falko)
a corpus of (written) learner language with error annotations from the Humboldt University in Berlin. -
SFB 632 corpora
the SFB 632 'Information Structure' (Potsdam/Berlin) uses EXMARaLDA for annotation tasks in several projects. -
GEWISS (Spoken Academic Language Cross-Linguistically)
the GEWISS project with partners in Leipzig, Birmingham, Wroclaw and Sofia uses EXMARaLDA for the creation of a corpus of spoken academic language -
FiSS (Forschungsinitiative Sprachdiagnostik und Sprachförderung)
several projects in the FiSS research initiative use EXMARaLDA for the investigation of language competence in children and adolescents with a special emphasis on the specific requirements in educational institutions -
Forschungs- und Lehrkorpus Gesprochenes Deutsch ('Research and Teaching Corpus of Spoken German', FOLK) / FOLKER
a project at the Institute for German Language in Mannheim constructing a balanced corpus of spoken German. FOLK uses the FOLKER transcription tool, which is partly based on EXMARaLDA technology and which is compatible with EXMARaLDA. -
Schreiben zwischen Sprachen und Kulturen ('Literacy between Languages and Cultures', LiLaC)
a project at the University of Dortmund "investigating the effects of specific types of (subtractive) multilingualism and identity construction on the attainment of literacy in German as a second language" (quote from the website). EXMARaLDA is used for transcription of narrative interviews. -
The Representation of Pain and Illness Narratives
a project at the University of Vienna, which uses EXMARaLDA to transcribe doctor/patient data. -
Multilingualism and Multiculturalism in University Studies (MuMiS)
a project at the Universities of Siegen, Hamburg and Kassel working on the conception, implementation and evaluation of measures for quality development in university teaching. -
Jugendsprache im Längsschnitt (JuSpiL)
a project at the Free University of Berlin investigating adolescents' language. -
Kicktionary
a multilingual electronic football dictionary based partly on a corpus of spoken language transcriptions (see the spoken examples section). Transcription and annotation of the spoken part of the corpus was done with EXMARaLDA. -
Beijing Sounds
A Blog dealing with the Beijing dialect of Mandarin. Some spoken language examples were created with EXMARaLDA.
